“A Collection of Things Noticed” consists of five LCD monitors with their front linear polarizing filter removed. What at first appears to be blank white screens is transformed by looking through polarizing film housed in suspended wooden viewfinders. Looking at the screens through these viewfinders, one finds slow, looping videos of quiet moments collected by the artist.

“A Collection of Things Noticed” calls attention to simple beauty found in mundane occurrences. These videos also engage with the idea of a screensaver as a kind of liminal space. Screensavers require a period of idleness–a stillness which supersedes any imagery it portrays.
